Noshpockets were originally developed by Terry Kopperud in 2008 and are the eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable food handling solution to using plastic sandwich bags. Noshpockets provide an eco-friendly, sturdy, water-resistant alternative to disposable plastic bags. Not only are noshpockets re-usable sandwich bags, but they are made from cotton with a nylon interior that is BPA and phthalate-free, giving you two more eco-friendly reasons to make the switch to these environmentally sustainable sandwich bags. (Read more here about why BPA free is important for us all.) Visit our products page to find more information on fabrics, sizing and pricing.

Terry Kopperud is the founder of noshpockets. She started the eco-friendly company in Calgary, Alberta in 2008 and continues to run the business from her home. Her practiced skills as a seamstress and a professional home economist led her to develop noshpockets and other eco-friendly innovations. Terry enjoys volunteering with charitable organizations in the community and was on the executive of the AHEA (Alberta Human Ecology and Home Economics Association) Calgary Branch for the last three years. She has a wonderful husband, and together they have raised three children and enjoy being grandparents to two delightful granddaughters.
Terry Kopperud’s concern for her family and the environment and awareness that plastic doesn’t biodegrade, can leach toxins into soil and waterways and can be ingested by birds and animals drove her to develop an alternative to disposable plastic lunch bags.
You can start cutting down on the garbage you produce in your own home and set a great example for your kids by purchasing some of Terry’s noshpockets and using them for sandwiches, snacks, lunch treats and more!
